Sales Representative

Full Time - Permanent

About us

PaySauce has been cooking up awesome payroll since 2015. We started off small but have been growing fast - we’ve moved from start-up to scale-up and have more and more customers learning to love the Sauce! With our clever platform and a sharp eye for security, compliance, and ease of use, we make it easy for employers to manage the human side of the business - from contracts to digital timesheets, payroll, banking and filing.

We love payroll and people, and we’re revolutionising the way they are looked after: we really care about helping both employers and employees by making the tough things simple and letting them focus on the things that matter. Our goal? Effortless yet flexible. Clever solutions that are intuitive to use and make payroll a beautiful experience.

About the role

You’ll play a critical role in establishing new accounts and nurturing relationships with multiple contacts across our channels. You drive growth and therefore hold one of the most vital roles within PaySauce! Your day-to-day duties will include research to identify new potential customers and leads, qualification of these leads, and following up with people who get stalled along the way.

This role offers a great mix of activities, with a clear and simple focus on meeting or exceeding sales targets by managing a strong sales pipeline, driving sales growth aligned with PaySauce’s goals. You’ll take responsibility for activity that’s already been identified, but by collaborating with your team you’ll identify new activities that could be undertaken to achieve growth.

You’ll support the field-based BDMs but also have the opportunity to work in the field from time to time in the Wellington region.

About the team

Our sales team currently comprises our Head of Sales and BDMs who work around New Zealand (Auckland, South Island) but for this role you will be based in our HQ in Petone. This is our main office, so you’ll be closely connected with our Customer Support team (including onboarding) and Marketing. Your manager is Auckland-based, but there’s a regular connection as well as the rest of the PayForce around you in Wellington.

About you

You’re bold, courageous and enthusiastic: you love chatting with people from all walks of life, whether that be on the phone, by email or out in person. You understand the sales cycle and what those critical moments are that help people make decisions and help them feel secure that they’ve made the right decision. You take the initiative to get the things done that need to be done. You’ve got what it takes to drive growth, and our values resonate with you: we’re a results driven, resourceful, roll your sleeves up type of place - but we care deeply about each other and our community. If that sounds like your cup of tea, then we want to hear from you!

Why you'll love working at PaySauce

Life is good here with the PayForce. We take care of each other as much as we do our customers: we’re built on being empathetic, kind, and people first.

We live by our values - they aren’t just words on a page to us, they are what we live and breathe. We’re straight up and take our mission seriously, but we have fun along the way!

We’re committed to supporting your development and ensuring you feel fulfilled and happy at work. We’re dedicated to ensuring everyone feels valued and has a contribution to make to PaySauce’s (very bright) future.

You’ll get health insurance, extra leave if you’re becoming a parent and an invitation to join our employee share scheme. You can ditch the formal office wear - we’re pretty laid back, and the office is fun, friendly and close to shops and cafes. Most importantly, you’ll have an awesome supportive crew around you in a company that’s really going places.
